Best Snacks For Healthy Teeth

It's not enough to brush and floss your teeth on a regular basis. Did you know that there are certain foods that contribute to your oral health?   • Celery: Like apples, celery helps your mouth produce saliva to remove food particles and cavity-causing agents. It is also a great source of vitamins A and C, both of which promote gum health.
  • Almonds: Almonds are a good source of calcium, great for building up the strength of your teeth and bones.
  • Cheese: Cheese is a great snack because it contains calcium and protein. It also pairs well with other teeth-healthy options such as apples, yogurt, or almonds.
  • Pumpkin Seeds: Pumpkin seeds are a great source of phosphorous, an important element in building up tooth enamel.
  • Egg Yolks: Egg yolks contain vitamin D, an essential nutrient for absorbing calcium.
  • Blueberries: Blueberries are high in fiber, low in sugar, and contain plenty of antioxidants. Antioxidants play a lot of different roles in preserving oral health. They fight bacteria that cause periodontal disease and inflammation. They are also great for your gums because they protect them from cell damage and infection.
  • Bell Peppers: Bell peppers are a good source of vitamin C. Vitamin C helps your gums stay healthy by reducing inflammation and making your blood vessels strong. Vitamin C also produces collagen, which helps to avoid periodontal disease. 

An apple, or cheese, or blueberry helps keep the dentist away. Eating these tooth-healthy snacks will keep your teeth stronger and help you avoid cavities and gum disease for longer. Skip out on the sugary snacks and eat these delicious treats instead.
